New Year Party

New Year parties are the biggest of big parties that takes place every year. They normally start on New Year’s Eve and go on right up to early morning of the next day. There parties come in a variety; most of them cater to couples who want to enjoy the New Year together.

New Year parties are also known to cater to families, who like watching the sky lit up with fireworks after the New Year countdown.

The dress code for the party will depend on the age group of people invited. If they are teenagers then the dress code is usually smart party casuals, if it is for couples then it will be a suit for the gentleman and a gown for the lady. A New Year party for teenagers will typically have contemporary music as that is what the youngsters of today look for.

The party starts at about 8 pm on the 31st of December and people settle in slowly while others come in till 11pm. This is when the party really starts and the music is loud, with some people dancing in groups. When the clock strikes 11:59 pm, a digital countdown timer appears on huge screen and people cheer as the seconds draw closer to the New Year. As the timer reaches zero, fireworks go up into the air and light up the sky. There is huge uproar of cheer, while some people hold up their glasses and raise a toast saying good bye to the old and welcoming the New Year. All alcohol is served here in plenty. After the fireworks, they occasionally hold a dance show, where you have the best of professional and street dancers performing live before you. The dance then resumes with the floor and sky being lit with dance lighting as well as lasers. Some parties choose to change the DJ after around two hours so that people can have a change in the music played. The parties close at about 5 am on New Year’s Day and people then go home to rest after the all night dance party.
